We refer to recent news articles concerning the container ship

“MV. Mathu Bhum” which appeared in some international media over the past few days on smuggling palm oil out of Indonesia.

The “MV. Mathu Bhum is currently deployed under a joint partnership (service code “RTB” service) since 2020. Total of 34 containers onboard contain palm oil, which is currently prohibited to be export out of Indonesia. There was no container from RCL or Regional Container Lines in the list of 34x20'. However, they were all custom approved for export on the 25th and 26th Apr 2022, prior to the prohibition date 28th April 2022.

RCL continue providing our fullest cooperation and assistance to the authority for their investigations as well as best services to all stakeholders so that the vessel can depart as soon as possible.
