RCL with its partners is pleased to announce the launch of a new South China to Nhava Sheva, Mundra service. RCL will brand the service as “RWA”.
The port coverage will include Nansha – Shekou – Singapore – Westport – Northport - Nhava Sheva – Mundra – Westport – Haiphong - Nansha using 5 X 2,800 TEU vessels in a 35-day rotation.
RCL will provide two ships to the RWA with a further one ship each from Pacific International Lines, CULines and InterAsia Lines. The maiden call will commence with RCL's Satha Bhum which ETA Nansha on the 22 October 2021 for its maiden voyage to India.
According to a RCL spokesperson, “The new RWA will provide our customers in South China via Nansha and Shekou direct connectivity to Nhava Sheva and Mundra. With a transit time of 14 and 15 days respectively to Nhava Sheva, this new service will offer some of the industry's fastest transit times”.
“RWA will also be the only direct connection between Haiphong and Nhava Sheva, Mundra. Similarly, customers ex India will also enjoy a direct sailing to Haiphong; a key destination for Indian exports”.
“In addition, the RWA will complement RCL's existing products to West India via RKI, RNI, RSI and RIE. By having five sailings per week between Asia and West India; customers will enjoy frequency, variety and convenience in their supply chain”.
